Help prepare Unbound Stockton Community School as it is getting ready to welcome students in August 2025, and we need your help to make the last finishing touches to this new school campus.

Unbound Stockton Community School will be a unique addition to the community by creating an exclusively diverse, by design, 4th-8th grade school that supports students during critical student years for academic engagement, identity development, exploration, and choice. Unbound Stockton Community School will draw students from all across our Stockton and San Joaquin County community and represent students of all races, socioeconomic statuses, and locations in our community. Students will have authentic experiences working in diverse teams and developing cultural competence, which they will apply and enact in the high schools of their choice.

• When: Friday, June 27th, 2025

• Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM 

• Where: 444 N. American St, Stockton, CA 95202

Volunteer Projects:

• Campus Beautification: Weeding, mulch distribution, and plant care around the playground and outdoor areas

• Classroom Setup: Painting finishing touches, furniture assembly, and installing essential items like wall clocks and feminine care dispensers

• Deep Cleaning: Preparing classrooms, gym spaces, and common areas to be student-ready

What to Bring:

• Comfortable closed-toe shoes

• Clothes you don't mind getting dirty

• Reusable water bottle (We'll have water coolers available.)

• Hat for sun protection 

What's Included:

• Complimentary grab-and-go lunch from Don Rafa's

• Water and refreshments throughout the day

Schedule:

• 9:00 - 9:10 AM | Volunteer Check-In

• 9:10 - 9:20 AM | Service Project Assignments and Instructions

• 9:20 AM - 12:00 PM | Service Projects (11:50 to 12:00 will be the final cleanup and transition to Grab-And-Go Lunch)

• 12:00 - 12:10 PM | Grab-And-Go Lunch

No experience necessary - just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to help our Stockton community! Together, we'll ensure Unbound Stockton Community School is ready to provide an exceptional learning environment for local students.

Please arrive and check in by 9:00 AM to ensure you're present for the volunteer training that will take place specific to the project station that you will be supporting.
